Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 24, 2026
Read this before you take a torch to your grandmother’s ring based on something you read here. By accessing and using jewelryfixpro.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must leave the site immediately. We run a tight ship. We expect you to respect the boundaries outlined below.
These terms govern your use of our articles, guides, brand reviews, and community comment sections. We update these rules as our site grows and the industry shifts. Your continued use of the site means you accept those changes.
Informational Purposes Only
Jewelry Fix Pro provides forensic-level analysis of craftsmanship, repair techniques, and industry practices. We are not your personal bench jeweler. We do not offer binding appraisals over the internet. Every piece of jewelry is unique. A metal alloy that behaves perfectly under a laser welder in our shop might react completely differently on your bench due to hidden porosity or previous, undisclosed repairs.
Our content is strictly for educational and informational purposes. We share what works for us. We document the mistakes we see in mass-produced pieces. We explain why certain prong settings fail after six months of daily wear.
You assume all risk.
If you attempt a DIY repair using a flex shaft and slip, ruining a center stone, that is your responsibility. Heating a gemstone with a hidden inclusion will shatter it instantly. Applying the wrong polishing compound will strip the rhodium plating right off your white gold. We are not liable for any damage to your property, loss of value, or personal injury resulting from the application of techniques discussed on this website.
Intellectual Property and Copyright
We do the work. We spend hours under a stereo microscope documenting exactly why a specific casting failed. We run the XRF scans. We write the teardowns.
That content belongs to us. All text, macro photography, graphics, and site design are the exclusive property of Jewelry Fix Pro and are protected by international copyright laws. You may not scrape our site. You may not copy our brand critiques and paste them onto your own blog. You may not use our images to sell your own repair services.
We allow brief, attributed quotes. If you want to reference our findings on a specific brand’s declining quality, you may quote up to fifty words. You must include a direct, do-follow HTML link back to the original article. Anything beyond that requires our explicit written permission.
Affiliate Disclosure and Editorial Integrity
We review tools, equipment, and jewelry brands. Sometimes we use affiliate links. If you click a link to a specific jeweler’s saw, ultrasonic cleaner, or diamond vendor and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. This comes at no extra cost to you.
That commission never buys a positive review. Zero exceptions.
Our editorial independence is the only thing that gives this site value. If a highly popular brand uses hollow, lightweight shanks that warp under normal wear, we will publish that fact. If a highly-rated polishing motor burns out after three weeks on our bench, we will tell you to avoid it. We buy the vast majority of our own testing equipment. When a manufacturer sends us a tool for review, we disclose that fact clearly at the top of the article. We never guarantee favorable coverage.
Accuracy of Information
The jewelry industry changes rapidly. A brand we praised for solid, symmetrical casting in our early days might have outsourced their manufacturing to a cheaper facility today. A specific flux we recommended for silver soldering might change its chemical formula.
We strive for absolute accuracy at the time of publication. We do not guarantee that older articles reflect current market realities. You are responsible for verifying current specifications, prices, and manufacturing standards before making a significant purchase or attempting a complex repair.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jewelry Fix Pro and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of this website. This includes financial loss from purchasing a piece of jewelry we reviewed, damage to personal property during an attempted repair, or data loss from interacting with our site.
We provide this website on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties regarding the uninterrupted availability of the site or the absolute absence of errors, viruses, or malicious code, though we take standard security precautions to protect our infrastructure.
User Conduct and Community Standards
We host comment sections to foster genuine discussion among practitioners, collectors, and hobbyists. We welcome debate. We welcome disagreement, provided you bring facts to back up your claims.
We do not tolerate spam. If you post links to counterfeit watch sellers, fake diamond registries, or unrelated promotional garbage, we will delete your comment and ban your IP address permanently. Do not impersonate other jewelers or brands. Do not post defamatory claims about specific local businesses without verifiable proof. We reserve the right to remove any comment, at any time, for any reason.
Third-Party Links
Our articles frequently link to third-party websites. We link to equipment suppliers, custom jewelers, gemological laboratories, and educational resources. We do not control these external sites. We are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or their terms of service. Clicking an external link is done at your own risk. We strongly advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction. By using this site, you consent to this jurisdiction and waive any objections to such venue.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at our discretion. When we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We do not send out individual emails for legal updates. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically. Your continued use of Jewelry Fix Pro following the posting of revised terms means you accept and agree to the changes.
Contact Information
If you have specific questions about these terms, you can reach out to our editorial team. We actually read our mail. We aim to respond to legitimate inquiries within three business days. Send your questions regarding these legal terms through the form on our Contact page.
